Welcome

the pathfinder for your drug

PortaCellTec (PCT) provides a broad spectrum of uptake and efflux transporter assays (e.g. OATs, OCTs, OATPs, MATEs, MDR1, BCRP, BSEP, MRPs) to investigate the inhibitory potential and substrate characteristics of your drug.

As recommended by regulatory agencies (FDA/EMA/PMDA), we perform in vitro transporter studies with validated drug transporters stably transfected in HEK293 cells.

About us

PortaCellTec Biosciences is a German company founded 2009 by scientists with a strong background in developing drug transporter assay with numerous publications in the field of membrane transporters and their interaction with drugs.

Situated in Göttingen, we are offering a wide range of transporter assays. All transporters are stably overexpressed in HEK293 cells (human embryonic kidney cells) and each transporter is validated with the corresponding probe substrates and inhibitors.

Our portfolio mainly focuses on human drug transporters but we are going to expand our portfolio to other species (mouse, rat, dog, and monkey).

Feel free to contact us anytime to discuss custom projects.
